VegQuestion 1 : How can you not eat meat?

People ask this question a lot so I’m used to it. I used to eat meat and cheese every day. I started off as a vegetarian four years ago (went vegan a year ago) because I went to Warped Tour and was spoken to by a animal activist (from PETA) handing out pamphlets on the health/animal/ environment benefits of a plant based diet. When I went home, I watched some documentaries on Netflix to further my knowledge. They were very graphic and showed the harm that factory farms/meat put on the environment, human health, and the animal’s lives. I decided to do a lot of research on how to still get protein, b12, and eat things I used to enjoy a lot. I discovered that there are so many meat and cheese alternatives that you can buy at most grocery stores. There’s chicken, beef, pizza, mac and cheese, etc. Although those frozen foods aren’t the healthiest, they weren’t healthy for me to be eating in the first place as a non vegan item but it’s a good way to start the transition. Plus I love potatoes, beans, lentils, veggies, and fruit. Veganism/vegatarianism broadened my food selection because I was always such a picky eater growing up. I was forced to try new things with my new diet and I didn’t mind it after I realized most of the items were actually pretty good. Also, over time you forget more and more how actual meat tastes and your taste buds change to crave things that are what you eat all the time. Your body adjusts.
